Scott Melnick formed Melnick Real Estate Advisors (MREA) in 2018 to offer clients a hands-on boutique investment sales platform focusing on multifamily disposition, acquisition, equity/debt placement, and 1031 exchange assignments. Scott, one of the leading multifamily brokers in the nation, has transacted over $25 billion of transactions throughout his career including the largest transactions for their respective years in the Washington and Baltimore metro regions, as well as Northern Virginia.

Scott created and led dominant multifamily sales teams at Transwestern, JLL, and Berkadia from 1999-2018, and immediately prior to forming MREA Scott led Berkadia’s national Institutional Client Services platform for investment sales and debt.

Scott earned an MBA/Finance from New York University and a BA/Economics from Ithaca College and also completed specialized real estate coursework at Cornell University and NYU Law School. Scott is an active Advisory Member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and has been a prominent speaker at NMHC national and local conferences.
